Milton has a rural charm, but it’s also just 30 miles from north Atlanta, so you’re never short of things to do, no matter your interests. In fact, Six Flags White Water, just outside north Atlanta is a fantastic summer spot. This 69-acre park is considered one of the top in the country and has water activities for all ages, including water slides, the Atlanta Ocean wave pool, a variety of rides, and the Little Hooch Lazy River.

Other popular outdoor activities can be enjoyed along the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Here, you can explore the biking and hiking trails, ride a river boat, go fishing, and have a picnic in this scenic area.

One of the biggest outdoor activities is horseback riding. Milton has a strong equestrian community with numerous horse farms and even the Milton Equestrian Committee, which can help you explore more of the community’s offerings. Whether you’re looking to take up horseback riding or simply want to enjoy the many views of horses in beautiful fields and pastures, Milton is perfect for horse enthusiasts.

If you’re looking for some indoor entertainment, art lovers will enjoy the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. Housed in a splendid Greek Revival temple-style building it focuses on fine art from the 18th century onward, with an emphasis on American art in particular. The museum hosts changing exhibits, as well as special cultural events, so there’s plenty of reasons to visit regularly.

For a more active indoor experience, almost all ages will love the Sky Zone Trampoline Park in nearby Roswell.  Adults can test themselves with the ninja warrior course, and multiple ages can head to the Foam Zone in the park to show off some acrobatic skills with a guaranteed soft landing. Of course, there’s also the Freestyle Jump with its wall-to-wall trampolines and walls covered in soft mats.

These are just a few of the local and nearby attractions. There are also self-guided history tours, shopping, a winery, and more to enjoy when you make the move to one of our homes in Milton GA. Contact us today to learn more about our available homes.
